Required skills for this job include :
- Conduct advanced analytics leveraging predictive modeling, machine learning, simulation, optimization, and other techniques to deliver insights or develop analytical solutions to achieve business objectives.
- Integrate and extract relevant information from large amounts of structured and unstructured data to enable analytical solutions.
- Experience with data sourcing, data cleansing, and data preparation.
- Experience and knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques, their benefits and drawbacks, and their real-world applications.
- Mastery with Python programming language and significant experience using Python’s data analysis, machine learning, and NLP libraries such as pandas, numpy, scipy, scikit-learn, gensim, and spaCy.
- Outstanding problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Innovative, creative, out-of-box thinking.
- Experiment design and algorithm development.
- Develop and implement new research objectives, establish project priorities, define methods of approach, execute the study, and provide scientific conclusions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
- At least five (5) years of experience presenting data insights and recommendations to key executives and stakeholders.
- M.S. and / or Ph.D. in engineering, computer science, statistics, analytics, mathematics, or related scientific discipline.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in a corporate setting with at least five (5) of those years performing data science and machine learning.
- Must have or be willing to obtain Secret Clearance (this requires US Citizenship).
- Acceptable candidates must successfully pass a drug test and background screen.
