Our Team's Vision

Illumio's new Machine Learning (ML) team embodies a culture of thought leadership, independence, and responsibility, holding a significant and highly visible role within our Engineering division. This dynamic team is tasked with developing state-of-the-art ML solutions for complex cybersecurity challenges. Working directly with the leadership team, the team shapes Illumio's strategic direction and reinforces our leadership in Zero Trust Segmentation. Your Impact:

As a Senior Staff Engineer in the team, you will be leading, designing and developing applications & infrastructure for machine learning use-cases. You will be deploying and maintaining scalable model serving infrastructure that address cybersecurity issues faced by diverse businesses today. To excel in this role, you must be excited about designing the backend and build ML integrations with other Illumio Products to take it to customers. You will also be actively involved in building infrastructure for model training, deployment and serving. Your work will have a direct impact on our customers using the ML models for enterprise-level security use-cases.

• Implement the UI backend and ML APIs integration into Illumio Products (Core & CloudSecure) to render ML features
• Design and develop scalable infrastructure to support the training, evaluation, and deployment of machine learning models
• Collaborate with data scientists and ML engineers to integrate backend systems with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn
• Design and implement APIs for serving ML models, ensuring efficient response times and scalability
• Manage databases that store model parameters, metadata, training data, and logs
• Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions to track model performance, system health, and resource utilization in real-time
• Proactively contribute to cultivating a new team and product domain, offering strategic impetus shaping the roadmap and vision for the product
  
  

Your Toolkit:

• Proficiency in GoLang or Python for backend development is preferred
• Experience in designing and developing scalable API solutions
• Knowledge in tools and platforms for service monitoring, alerting, and maintenance
• Experience with integrating vector databases and past experience in supporting ML-specific cloud services within Azure ecosystem is a plus
  
  

Compensation:

$229,000 - $275,000 USD
