The Marine Engine Manufacturing Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring a team of talented assemblers are trained, focused and delivering finished engines with a focus on quality, safety and efficiency. This is a fast-paced, on-your-feet position and is a great opportunity for an experienced manufacturing line supervisor who understands internal combustion engines, knows how to motivate a team, communicate well, and work effectively with engineers, company leaders, customers and suppliers.
***This position will require approximately 4 weeks of off-site training in North Carolina, with weekends at home. Travel costs are covered by Ilmor Marine.***
Essential Job Functions (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities):
- Supervise and Lead: Manage a team of 15-20 assemblers, ensuring productivity, adherence to schedules, and compliance with company policies.
- Manufacturing Oversight: Oversee the assembly of marine internal combustion engines, ensuring correct procedures, quality control, and operational efficiency.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production flow, reduce waste, and improve efficiency.
- Quality Control: Monitor product quality throughout assembly and collaborate with quality assurance teams to address any issues.
- Training & Development: Train, mentor, and develop team members to enhance their technical skills and job performance.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure all team members follow workplace safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and company policies.
- Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot assembly issues, resolve bottlenecks, and support cross-functional teams in problem resolution.
- Reporting & Metrics: Track production performance, maintain records, and provide reports on KPIs, efficiency, and quality.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- Hands-on mechanical & fabrication skills to support builds, setups, repairs and maintenance
- 3 Years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or assembly setting
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen principles.
- Familiarity with marine engine assembly and related components.
- Proficiency with ERP software packages
- Strong computer skills in MS Office
- Team player with ability to mobilize support when necessary
- Ability to organize and plan multiple tasks effectively
- Ability to travel up to 5%

- Compensation: Salaried position, starting at $60,000 USD/year
- Schedule: M - Th: 6:15am - 5pm to support production, Fridays 8am - 12pm
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit or stand. The employee is frequently required to use their hands and fingers to handle, feel objects, use tools or controls and climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to walk, reach with hands and arms, kneel, crouch, crawl and talk or hear.

- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. However, some instances of this job may require work in areas where ear protection is necessary.
