Job Summary of the Bilingual Human Resources Representative: The Bilingual HR Representative will be responsible for performing administrative tasks, assisting employees, coordinating employee recognition and events, managing benefit enrollment, supporting recruitment and orientation, ensuring compliance, facilitating communications, and more.
Qualifications of Bilingual Human Resources Representative:
- Must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent. Preference will be given to candidates with an associate's or bachelor's degree.
- Fluent in both Spanish and English, with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages.
- Previous experience in HR is desirable.
- Previous clerical experience is desirable.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Must also have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence, as well as speak effectively before groups, customers/vendors, or employees of the organization.
- Must be flexible to work independently or as part of a team as needed.
- Proficient knowledge and use of computer programs, specifically Microsoft Word and Excel. Knowledge of PowerPoint is also required.
- Must possess effective follow-up, problem-solving, communication, creativity, and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to multitask and efficiently prioritize tasks to meet business demands.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.
- Must demonstrate professionalism in handling personnel issues, including maintaining confidentiality.
- Possession of a current and valid driver's license is preferred.
- Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and/or Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) is desired.
Responsibilities of the Bilingual Human Resources Representative:
- Assist in the administration of various human resources programs and functions.
- HR Representatives will be assigned specific areas of focus based on department needs.
- Responsibilities may include attendance tracking and issuing discipline notices, managing service awards, updating job descriptions and postings, assisting with recruitment for non-exempt positions (posting vacancies, conducting interviews, making offers, organizing pre-employment activities and orientations, participating in job fairs and school presentations, arranging tours, etc.), facilitating employee recognition activities (YMADs), managing leave of absences, maintaining anniversary and birthday calendars, planning and organizing employee meals and events, conducting exit interviews and stay interviews, implementing retention efforts, handling new hire benefit enrollments and addressing insurance questions, ensuring company bulletin boards and postings are up to date, performing filing tasks, overseeing the expiration and maintenance of Employment Eligibility Verification (Form I-9), and more.
- Perform various administrative duties such as data entry, answering phones, photocopying, faxing, filing, etc.
- Provide assistance and support to employees as needed.
- Compile, update, and generate reports as required, including audit reports.
- Assisting with training sessions, presentations, and special events (including designing PowerPoint presentations and setting up rooms).
- Act as a backup to other members of the HR Department as necessary.
- Participate on committees as required to ensure HR presence and support.
- Take personal responsibility for maintaining a safe and healthy workplace. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, and prioritize safety and health in all tasks and activities.
