Financial Reporting Analyst - Oil and Gas

A growing company is seeking a talented and detail-driven Financial Reporting Analyst to join its team. In this pivotal role, you’ll support the preparation and analysis of financial statements, delivering insights that inform key business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and consolidate financial statements in compliance with US GAAP
Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
Analyze financial data to identify trends and variances; prepare detailed variance reports
Coordinate with external auditors during financial statement audits
Support the development of budgets and forecasts
Maintain accurate general ledger records
Research and resolve accounting issues in a timely manner
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting
Stay informed on industry trends and financial reporting best practices
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum of 2 years of financial reporting experience; Oil & Gas industry experience preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams
Excellent organizational and time management skills; able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to interact professionally across all levels
Must be able to perform light physical tasks, including lifting up to 15 pounds and repetitive manual tasks requiring dexterity and visual focus
