We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Maintenance Journeyman to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, with the ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial equipment in a manufacturing setting. The Electrical Maintenance Journeyman will also be responsible for ensuring that all electrical systems are running safely and efficiently while complying with industry standards and regulations.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Maintenance Journeyman to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, with the ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial equipment in a manufacturing setting. The Electrical Maintenance Journeyman will also be responsible for ensuring that all electrical systems are running safely and efficiently while complying with industry standards and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair complex electrical and mechanical systems, ensuring operational efficiency and safety.
- Perform diagnostics and maintenance on programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and ladder logic.
- Participate in the Hazmat team, ensuring compliance with environmental and safety protocols.
- Read and interpret engineering documents, including detailed blueprints, P&IDs, single-line diagrams, and wiring schematics.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, motors, control panels, and various machinery.
- Work with Allen-Bradley systems, demonstrating expertise in programming and troubleshooting these controllers.
- Safely work with electrical components, including 480 VAC 3-phase motor controls, 120 VAC, and 24VDC circuits.
- Work off-shift hours, weekends, or during emergencies as required to minimize production downtime.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Journeyman Electrical/Maintenance License for the state of Michigan.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing maintenance.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical documents such as blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings.
- Ability to work with various calibration and testing tools, such as RTD calibrators and digital multi-meters.
- Willingness to join and contribute to the Hazmat team.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or off-shifts as necessary.
- Familiarity with SAP/PPE systems and basic computer literacy (preferred)
- Experience working with Allen-Bradley PLCs and troubleshooting associated systems.
- Prior experience in maintenance within a food processing or manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of 480 VAC 3-phase motor control systems and low-voltage control circuits (120 VAC and 24VDC).
- Expertise in PLC troubleshooting and ladder logic programming.
- Ability to safely operate and maintain electrical systems following LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) standards.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex motor control systems and low-voltage circuits
