About the Role
We are currently seeking a dedicated Professional Liability Associate to join our San Francisco team.
In this role, you will represent a wide range of professionals—legal practitioners, real estate professionals, insurance agents, developers, design professionals, land surveyors, appraisers, and directors and officers—in cases involving legal malpractice and other liability claims.
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to work collaboratively with clients, businesses, and legal teams. Associates are involved in all phases of litigation—from initial case evaluation through discovery and trial—applying strategic thinking to meet client objectives. We're looking for attorneys who are eager to grow, proactive in their work, and motivated for long-term development.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of professional liability claims, including drafting and responding to written discovery
- Take and defend depositions
- Communicate effectively and proactively with clients throughout the litigation process
- Provide timely, accurate written reporting in compliance with client guidelines and case management protocols

Requirements
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Active member in good standing with the California State Bar
- Minimum of 2 years of litigation experience, preferably in a law firm setting
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $110,000 – $170,000, commensurate with experience
