Summary
We’re seeking a seasoned Senior Civil Engineer – Site Development to take the lead on impactful site development projects. From major infrastructure upgrades to innovative land transformations, this role offers the chance to drive complex projects forward, mentor a growing team, and collaborate across disciplines—all while solving real-world challenges in local communities.
As a senior member of the engineering team, you’ll be responsible for managing design and production across a variety of civil engineering projects including site layouts, grading, drainage, paving, utilities, and more. You’ll apply expert judgment to shape outcomes, influence strategy, and deliver results that last.
🧩 What You’ll Work On:
- Designing and producing plans for civil site development projects
- Leading projects and managing client communication, public feedback, and team coordination
- Performing and overseeing work in AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Guiding site investigations, survey work, data collection, and QA processes
- Preparing reports, cost estimates, proposals, and construction specifications
- Collaborating with government agencies, internal teams, and clients for permits and approvals
- Mentoring engineers and helping manage direct reports
- Supporting business development initiatives and proposal efforts
🧠 What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related field)
- PE Licensure in Michigan (Indiana licensure preferred)
- 10 years of experience in site development and the A/E/C industry
- 5 years in business development and managing direct reports
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Experience working within multidisciplinary teams
