Position Overview :
We’re on the hunt for a Senior Materials Testing Technician with 3-5 years of hands-on experience in testing soils, concrete, and asphalt materials. If you are detail-oriented, skilled in interpreting complex test results, and passionate about contributing to high-impact construction projects, we want you on our team! This role will give you the chance to work on Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) projects and other significant infrastructure ventures. While certifications are not required, they are highly valued and will be a definite plus.
Key Responsibilities :
- Test Materials : Conduct field and lab tests on soils, concrete, asphalt, and aggregates, ensuring results meet industry standards and project requirements.
- Ensure Compliance : Guarantee that all testing aligns with FDOT guidelines and other regulatory standards, ensuring the integrity of transportation infrastructure projects.
- Analyze & Report : Interpret test results, prepare comprehensive reports, and offer recommendations to help inform project decisions.
- Equipment Oversight : Calibrate, maintain, and ensure proper functionality of testing equipment, guaranteeing accuracy and reliability.
- Team Collaboration : Work closely with engineers, project managers, and colleagues to provide trusted, reliable data for ongoing projects.
- Safety First : Uphold a clean, organized, and safe work environment by adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
- Mentor Junior Technicians : Provide training and guidance to less-experienced technicians, ensuring consistency and high-quality results across the team.
- Document & Report : Accurately document test procedures, results, and any deviations, submitting reports in a timely and organized manner.
