SURGICAL NURSING DIRECTOR

Salary: $83.36 - $133.37/hr full benefits bonus Paid relocation
We are seeking a professional to oversee the coordination of clinical and non-clinical activities within our Perioperative Services department. This includes managing various areas such as the Operating Room, Post Anesthesia Care Unit, Outpatient Surgery, GI Lab, Sterile Processing, Cath Lab, Surgery, Ambulatory Surgery Center, and Donor Network. The Director of Surgical Nursing will be responsible for providing direction, supervision, and development to staff in order to achieve departmental goals and uphold the hospital's mission. This position reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer.
Requirements:
- Academic degree in nursing
- Preferred: Bachelor's or Master's degree
Minimum Experience/Skills:
- Required: 2 years of management experience in a hospital setting as a manager or full-time charge nurse
Licenses/Certificates/Credentials:
- Current California Registered Nurse license
- Current BLS certification for Healthcare Providers (AHA certified)
- Certification in perioperative field strongly preferred
Responsibilities:
- Maintain an active and current registered nurse license in the state of residence/practice
- Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proven leadership ability and hospital operational expertise
- Ability to serve as a role model and advocate for the professional discipline of nursing
Qualifications:
- Required: Associate degree from an accredited nursing school with a bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field or a BSN
- Required: 2 years of progressive management experience in a hospital environment as a manager or full-time charge nurse/related position
- Preferred: Master's degree in a healthcare-related field
