Technical Analyst

Job Summary

We are looking for a Technical Analyst to join our growing team! As a TA, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our software products by designing, developing, and executing automated tests as well as creating and running manual test cases. You will also collaborate closely with developers throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC) to identify and resolve issues early on.

Essential Job Functions

• Design, develop, and implement automated test frameworks using scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java) and testing tools.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented test code.
• Create and execute manual test cases to supplement automated testing.
• Collaborate with developers to identify and fix bugs.
• Stay up to date on the latest testing methodologies and tools.
• Test Case Development: Design and implement test cases for data validation, including regression testing, and performance testing. Ensure test cases cover functional, non-functional, and edge cases to enhance test coverage.
• Communicate test results effectively to stakeholders.
• Participate in project management, risk management, and process management tasks to improve the quality and efficiency of requirements delivery.
• Identify test requirements and develop QA test plans.
• Research, recommends and implements tools for test automation.

Knowledge, Skills and Competencies

• Experience with automated testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Jenkins).
• Takes pride in finding errors that developers swear are not there.
• Strong programming skills in one or more scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java).
• Experience with SQL and databases is a plus.
• Understanding of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• 2 years of working in cloud implementation/automation
• Basic knowledge of code coverage tools.
• API (Application Programming Interfaces) testing experience using Postman, Swagger, and Tavern.
• Understand code version control.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience in the healthcare field, highly preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds to waist height, at times.
