Description
We are seeking an Operations Manager to oversee daily operations at Illusion Dance Studios located in Nampa Idaho. Working at Illusion Dance Studios is extremely rewarding as you help develop both youth and adults in their journey to become a dancer and a leader. Our studio focusses on the leadership development of every student and staff member that enters our doors. We believe that while every student may not become a professional dancer, everyone will become a leader in their community and an amazing person through the art of dance. Operating a Dance Studio has the challenge of running a business while creating artists. It is a mix of creating a cultivating environment, implementing structure and handling the challenging tasks of a small business. These task require dedication and are shared between the Operations Manager and Artistic Manager, Instructors and Admin Staff.
Responsibilities:
Manage Staff
- Human Resources- performance reviews, on boarding, off boarding, timesheets etc.
- Hire new staff members- Work together with artistic manager for dance instructors.
- Maintain employee records; including time off requests ensure proper class coverage for vacation and sick calls.
- Conduct weekly check-ins with staff to promote engagement and effectiveness.
Training
- Complete continual training with staff members to include studio processes and procedures. Build the culture of continuously improving.
- Train staff on enrollment techniques for Intro classes and annual enrollments. Be the star enroller to be able to train others.
- Develop and optimize SOP’s and train staff for consistency so that our customers receive an excellent experience in the studio and working with our admin staff.
- Train staff on techniques to help solve student challenges to maintain enrollment.
Customer Retention and Satisfaction
- Be well versed in studio programs to help guide students to the most appropriate program so that they see success.
- Work with teachers to identify students that may need extra help and interface with teachers and parents/students. Address concerns with the intent to maintain students enrolled.
- Abide by our values and always doing what is best for our students when interacting with them (both adult and children).
Event Planning
- Coordinate the planning of recitals, retention events, open houses, pictures, annual enrollment events and any other events that would help the studio grow.
- Identify new service project opportunities that can be done as a studio to achieve leadership goals in the community quarterly.
Marketing and Studio Growth
- Interface with marketing consultant running Facebook and google ads.
- Lead Marketing meetings monthly
- Monitor Facebook and Google ads metrics, work with Ad consultant to optimize and hit growth targets.

Requirements
- Experience in customer service
- Management experience with employees
- High emotional intelligence with willingness to develop deep interpersonal relationships
- Demonstrated experience as a creative problem solver

- Self motivated, detail oriented and able to work autonomously
- Excellent communication that keeps owners informed of all success and needs of the studio
- Google Suite/Microsoft office proficiency
Hours
This role is a salaried role with a target of 40 hours per week. Some weeks may have less and some may have more depending on season and studio needs. Studio Operates 5 days per week with the majority of classes being from 4pm to 9 pm. The agreed schedule can be flexible as long as all studio needs and metrics are being met.
Compensation
Base $40,000 - $50,000 Bonus 10-100%- determined by enrollment
