Welcome to IM=X Pilates Middle Village! Located in on Metropolitan Avenue and 80th Street, we are a new Pilates studio offering a variety of classes including IM=X Reformer and Floor Pilates, IM=X Yoga, IM=X Platform, IM=X Hybrid Class, and more. We offer Pilates reinvented, combining other physical disciplines such as Mat Pilates, Yoga, Tower and Barre, and Platforms. Our formats incorporate plyometric sequences, interval training, and heart rate training techniques for efficient and effective workouts. With our customized programs, we can tailor workouts to individual needs, including muscle toning, endurance, strength, back pain prevention and rehabilitation, weight loss, and more, always focusing on core strength.
Role Description
We are seeking highly motivated, overly energetic, friendly, willing to learn, and dynamic instructors to join our studio family. This is a part-time, on-site role as an IM=X Pilates Instructor. As an instructor, your day-to-day tasks will include teaching Pilates classes, leading group exercises, providing exceptional customer service to clients, and creating a positive and motivating environment during each session. You will be responsible for guiding clients through proper form and technique, ensuring safety and maximum results. You will also be responsible for selling classes and memberships to new and existing clients, checking-in clients upon arrival. Your role will contribute to helping clients achieve their fitness goals and improve their overall well-being. We offer evening and weekend schedule.
Qualifications
Pilates or Yoga Instruction and Group Exercise
Strong customer service skills
Effective teaching and communication abilities
Passion for fitness and promoting a healthy lifestyle
Ability to provide modifications and adaptations for different fitness levels
Experience working with diverse populations
Certification in Pilates or related field (e.g., ACE, NASM)
Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field a plus
Relevant skills and qualifications that would be beneficial for this role include knowledge of anatomy and biomechanics, experience with injury prevention and rehabilitation, familiarity with different Pilates equipment, and additional certifications in group fitness or personal training.
