Local manufacturing company needs a Controls Engineer to work on automation of manufacturing processes.
- Software development and support experience with DEC Fortran, DEC C programming languages on OpenVMS operating systems
- Software development and support experience with .NET programming languages on Windows OS
- Database knowledge, experienced with Microsoft SQL Server/T-SQL programming skills
- Familiarity with virtual environments, e.g., VMware, preferred
- Understanding Industrial Networking and topology, preferred
- In collaboration with operations people, apply engineering control theory and statistical analysis to improve quality and productivity
- Maintain and improve software process models and third-party software process models no longer supported by vendors.
- Accountability of 24/7/365 mission critical services in manufacturing operations provided by the Level II supervisory systems
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical, Manufacturing, or Materials Science Engineering with an emphasis on process modelling, control theory and statistical analysis.
- At least 5-15 years’ experience in industrial controls development in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge and experience in software development as described above: Fortran, C, Open VMS, .NET, VMware.
This is an on-site position, which requires that you live within commuting range of Portland, Oregon. Relocation assistance is available.
