Position Summary
Plans and organizes the technical requirements for events at the Colorado Convention Center while maintaining profitability. Will set up and operate audio visual equipment as well as supervise technicians working on large events.
Responsibilities
• Responsible for all technical communication between ImageAV staff, venue staff, and clients on each event assigned to.
• Acts as a consultant to the client, a technical liaison that the client can trust to build the best possible show within the client’s total budget.
• Acts as a technical consultant to all IAV staff and venue personnel developing innovative solutions to client events.
• Responsible to ensure that all parties establish a seamless identity to the client creating the best show experience possible.
• Takes initiative for self-growth, learning all aspects of new equipment and services.
• Lead team members technically and managerially on show site.
• Accounts for all inventories upon the conclusion of an event.
• Maintains a working knowledge of company inventory and other related equipment.
• Uses knowledge of physical layout and technical capabilities of meeting facilities to determine service requirements.
• Via the IAV Production Workbook, ensures that sufficient labor, equipment, re-rents and transfers are arranged before upcoming events. Monitors costs on a constant basis to ensure a profitable event.
• Works closely with Sales Manager to enhance the audiovisual needs in order to ensure technical success and increase revenues.
• Proficient in Vectorworks and has experience creating renderings and ground plans. Rigging plot development a bonus.
• Follows and acts in accordance with all company rules and policies in regard to general operation of the company, including but not limited to working hours, sales and promotion policies, procedures and specific company rules.
• Champions and supports the mission and culture of Image Audiovisuals.
• Other duties and special projects as assigned.
Educational Requirements
• High school diploma, GED
• Has verifiable track record of successfully managing large events

• Direct large show audiovisual setup experience. Proven success in delivering technologically sound events according to professional experience and customer specifications.
• Commitment to continuing education in audiovisual technology in areas of projection, audio, lighting, etc. as demonstrated through self-development and ongoing professional training.
• Demonstrates a service orientation in meeting customers’ needs. Has the ability to grasp the customers’ perspectives while acting as a trusted advisor.
• Exhibits well-developed communication skills; is clear, concise, and persuasive. Is also a good listener and shows an interest in what others have to say.
Salary : $65,000 - $75,000
