Muir Station Smiles in Concord, CA is a leading dental practice committed to providing high-quality dental care in a warm and friendly environment. Our team of dedicated professionals is passionate about oral health and patient satisfaction. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Dental Assistant to join our growing practice.
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, have a positive attitude, possess strong communication skills, and love working with children.
Schedule:
- This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures, including examinations, cleanings, and treatments.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment according to established protocols.
- Take and develop radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of dental health.
- Manage patient records and maintain accurate documentation of treatments and procedures.
- Greet and interact with patients in a friendly and caring manner, ensuring they feel comfortable and relaxed.
- Schedule appointments and coordinate patient flow to maintain an efficient and organized office environment.
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed, including insurance verification and patient billing.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in dental assisting preferred.
- Current certification in dental radiography (if applicable).
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant, preferably with a focus on pediatric dentistry.
- Proficient in performing dental prophylaxis and other preventive care practices.
- CPR and First Aid certification required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to connect with children and their parents.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
