Job Duties:
- You will play an important role in providing spiritual support to patients, caregivers, and the Hospice Interdisciplinary team.
- By listening to your patient's needs and completing a spiritual assessment, you will develop a comprehensive care plan that includes direct spiritual support and end-of-life counsel in accordance with their beliefs.
- Your work will provide increased comfort, reduced anxiety, and improved emotional and spiritual well-being to patients during their end-of-life journey. You will find your job rewarding and fulfilling as you support patients on their spiritual journey and gain valuable experiences in caring for patients from diverse spiritual and cultural backgrounds.
- Working alongside a talented multi-disciplinary team, you can expand your skillset and knowledge through ongoing professional development opportunities.
- Additionally, you will have the opportunity to provide education to staff, clergy, and community groups on the importance of spiritual support at end-of-life. Your contribution to the interdisciplinary team will help provide the best possible care for patients and their families.
Qualifications
Requirements:

Experience: Two years’ experience in pastoral field.

License / Certification: Licensed/ordained clergy; driver's license and proof of current auto liability insurance.

Community based bereavement and pastoral support experience a plus.

Previous hospice experience a plus but not necessary
