Graphic Designer - Production

This position is responsible for creative graphic designs, digital printing, vinyl cutting and light duty installation. The ideal candidate will be proficient with Illustrator and Photoshop, know how to interpret dimensions, and read a tape measure. IMPORTANT: This job is a dual role. The ability to work with your hands and learn to use tools proficiently is just as important as your graphic design/computer skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare illustrations and layouts
• Inspect jobs for accuracy
• Load materials and operate printer and/or laminator
• Cut and prepare substrates for vinyl application
• Install signs and apply vinyl graphics to buildings and vehicles
• Establish and maintain effective team relationships

QUALIFICATIONS and SKILLS

• Design and/or Production Experience – Sign industry experience a plus
• High school diploma or GED; advanced education degree preferred
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record
• Strong computer skills - Ability to work in Adobe Illustrator and with RIP software
• Excellent attention to detail
• Able to lift 35 or more pounds
• Must have the flexibility to lean over a waist-high table and use back forth hand motions to apply vinyl letters and graphics to a substrate
• Able to use hand and power tools
• Friendly - positive attitude
• Prompt, reliable and responsible
• Spanish speaking a plus

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
