SCHEDULE
- Monday - Friday: 11:00am - 7:30pm with alternating Saturdays
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
The Front Desk Associates will act as the representatives of ImageCare, interacting directly with our patients and providing excellent customer service and patient care. Responsibilities include checking patients in and providing all necessary paperwork upon arrival for their appointments.
The ideal candidate is reliable and professional, has excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities at the same time.
Experience and knowledge of the medical field highly preferred.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Answering incoming and internal phone calls and taking messages.
- Scheduling appointments for specific modalities. Confirmation of patient appointments via phone calls.
- Assisting patients and visitors with directions and answering questions.
- Gathering insurance information, verification and copy of cards, change of address information from patients and/or family members and referral documentation.
- Facilitates patient flow by notifying the provider of patient arrival, being aware of delays and communicating with patients and clinical staff.
- Keeps medical office supplies adequately stocked by anticipating inventory needs, placing orders and monitoring office equipment.
- Protects patient confidentiality by making sure protected health information is secured by not leaving PHI in plain site and logging off the computer before leaving it unattended.
- Must be familiar with company codes, “Red” (requires immediate attention and review and “Green” (approved status) on the RIS scheduler.
- Possess accurate judgement, especially handling charges and dealing with patient accounts.
- Versatile and willing to coordinate with and participate in, when necessary, all other aspects of our other Business Offices and locations.
- Responsible for collecting payment prior to exams as applicable, keeping an accurate log of payment and accurate daily batch of credit card machines.
- Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
- Medical office: 1 year (Preferred)
- Bi-lingual (Prefered, not required)
