As a Sales Consultant, you will be responsible for growing a new territory in the Kansas City area by providing consulting and sales services to current and prospective clients. As we establish a foothold in Kansas City, the next phase will be to develop a sales team with the ultimate goal of a full-fledged branch in the Kansas City marketplace. Our ideal candidate will possess the skills to generate new business with a potential opportunity to develop and manage a team.
Responsibilities
- Attends initial and ongoing training on company products, business and sales techniques.
- Compiles lists of prospective customers/clients and proactively develops new customer relationships.
- Travels throughout assigned territory to call on existing and prospective customers to solicit current or future opportunities.
- Manages current customer clientele providing monthly/quarterly reviews, best practices recommendations, areas for improvement, status reports, service reports and leasing/service contract data.
- Evaluates customers’ business scenarios, qualifies customers’ needs and develops solutions.
- Works closely with clients during all phases of the sales cycle.
- Maintains all data regarding sales calls, forecasts business and customer files in the company provided CRM.
- Develops and implements strategic sales plans to accommodate personal and corporate goals.
- Quotes prices and credit terms, prepares sales contracts for orders obtained and coordinates all follow-up.
- Prepares reports of business transactions and expense reimbursements.
- Maintains valid driver’s license and state minimum auto insurance.

Qualifications
- Four years prior b2b sales success required.
- Experience with Microsoft Office programs required.
- Previous experience building a new territory or team preferred.
- Previous leadership experience highly preferred but not required.
