Description
We are seeking an energetic, experienced individual to join our company as a Warehouse Delivery Driver. As part of our warehouse team, you will drive company vehicles to delivery locations. You will accurately keep records of all inventory, both received and delivered, and observe safe workplace rules and guidelines when transporting cargo.
Essential Functions/Job Duties
- Regular, physical attendance on a predictable basis is essential to the performance of this job.
- Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed; prepares and loads parcels for mailing.
- Receives, unloads, inspects, verifies, and warehouses items shipped to the warehouse; maintains log of incoming and outgoing freight at the warehouse.
- Load and unload box trucks and other vehicles.
- Uses forklift to move pallets and large items from warehouse to trucks.
- Keep accurate records of items shipped and received.
- Safely drive trucks to delivery locations and unload goods.
- Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
- Operates heavy machinery such as forklifts, unboxing equipment and racking machines to move and store equipment.
- Uses FedEx Ship Manager system to enter and track shipment records.
- Maintains accurate inventory records through use of a computerized inventory system.
- Follows all warehouse policies and procedures; wears the proper safety equipment.
- Maintains valid driver’s license at all times.
- Performs other tasks as assigned by management.
- Communicates with Management and Sales via email, phone, and in person.
Competencies
- Must be highly organized and capable of effective, efficient multi-tasking and time management.
- Mathematical skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Strong work ethic and emphasis on attention to detail.
- Ability to safely operate a forklift.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience required.
- Valid Drivers License without multiple or major violations required.
- Physical ability to lift heavy items and step up and down from a vehicle throughout a normal shift required.
- Experience loading and unloading in a warehouse environment preferred.
- Forklift certification and experience preferred but not required.
- Experience with warehouse inventory management preferred.
Salary : $18
