WHBQ-TV is in search of a Part Time Content Coordinator able to execute our enterprise journalism on all platforms. The successful candidate will craft compelling copy and write interesting stories on our digital platforms. You will create all components to be published on our news app, website, and social media platforms. This is an ideal role for a journalism school student in their junior or senior years. You will have an opportunity to learn in real time alongside a team of experienced and difference-making journalists. Our hope is to coach and work alongside you to tell the stories that matter to our community.

Responsibilities

• Write accurate and clear stories for all digital platforms
• Craft engaging headlines and social media posts to interact with our audience
• Learn to transform stories to television platforms
• Serve our community by creating resource guides for our greatest needs
• Help decide and steer our editorial content
• Operate in the Content Center to cultivate and find new content
• Design digital content with excellent writing, pictures, and video
• Learn all factors to execute stories ethically on social media
• News is a 24-hour business, and schedules may vary
• Other duties may be assigned
