What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teacher position at Imagination Station CDC?
Responsibilities:
- Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and educational activities for children
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development in children
- Maintain open and effective communication with parents and families
- Monitor and assess each child's progress and provide feedback to parents
- Ensure the classroom is clean, organized, and conducive to learning
- Follow all health and safety guidelines, including first aid procedures
- Manage classroom behavior and promote positive discipline techniques
Experience:
- Previous experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices
- Familiarity with preschool curriculum and teaching methods
- Experience caring for infants, toddlers, or preschool-aged children
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with children
