Job Summary:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Staff to provide essential support for adults with intellectual disabilities. In this energetic and rewarding role, you will play a critical part in enriching the lives of individuals in our program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and supervision to adults with intellectual disabilities in accordance with Title 17 and Title 22 requirements.
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, nutrition, and housekeeping duties.
- Foster a safe, supportive, and engaging environment that promotes independence and personal growth.
- Collaborate with team members to implement individualized support plans and monitor client progress.
- Assist clients in developing social skills, life skills, and other activities as outlined in their Individual Program Plans (IPP).
- Document daily activities and communicate any relevant information regarding clients' needs or progress.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Successfully pass a background check through the Department of Justice (Live Scan).
- Hold a valid CPR/First Aid certificate.
- Possess a valid California Driver's License.
- Obtain medical clearance and pass a TB test.
- Ability to demonstrate compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to support others in their daily lives.
