What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director, Quality & Safety position at Imagine Pediatrics?
The primary location for this role is remote, travel is estimated to be up to 25%, and the expected schedule is full-time (40 hours) 5 days per week, willingness and ability to cover all time zones (primary availability during central time) is required.
About the Role:
As Director of Quality and Safety with Imagine Pediatrics, you will manage and mentor a team of Quality and Safety Consultants as well as lead operational implementation of processes and projects to support Quality and Safety initiatives, drive performance improvement, and foster a culture of safety that prioritizes patient well-being and exceptional care. In this role you will:
- Lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of clinical quality and safety programs that align with organizational goals and drive continuous improvement.
- Partner with Quality and Safety Consultants plus clinical and operational leaders to cultivate a culture of safety, focusing on harm prevention, process improvement, patient experience and adherence to best practices.
- Lead the Patient Experience program including surveys, reporting, response management and performance improvement programs.
- Manage the Safety Event reporting system, structure and platform including performance improvement opportunities, RCAs, Common Cause Analysis, analyzing trends and partnering with internal stakeholders for action plans.
- Utilize data and analytics to identify trends, measure outcomes, and inform performance improvement initiatives.
- Interface with external stakeholders including health plans, community providers and community agencies for developing, implementing and monitoring Quality initiatives.
- Collaborate with the VP of Quality and Safety in the development and management of the department budget, strategic planning, etc.
- Participates and provides support for the organizational Quality and Safety Committee.

- Bachelor’s degree in clinical or health sciences related field (including but not limited to nursing, pharmacy, etc)
- 5 years' experience in a healthcare environment, including health plans, medical groups, providers, clinics, or healthcare delivery organizations.
- Experience leading teams and implementing Quality and Safety initiatives related to HEDIS, NCQA, CMS, patient experience, Patient Safety, etc.
- Ability to work independently, multi-task, establish priorities, and communicate clearly both in writing and verbally.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time (on average).
- Comfort working in a fast paced, start-up environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in clinical or health sciences related field (including but not limited to nursing, pharmacy, etc).
- CPHQ Certification (Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality, or/and CSP Certification (Certified Safety Professional)
- Experience working with a pediatric population or value-based care.
