POSITION: Aesthetic /Registered Nurse/Physcians Assiantace /Nurse Practitioner
DEPARTMENT: Back Office
REPORTS TO: Physician
JOB SUMMARY: This individual is responsible for providing diagnostic and therapeutic care including taking medical histories, performing examinations, ordering laboratory tests, and developing a treatment plan for patient care as directed by their supervising physician in order to allow physicians to spend more time on complex patient problems within the scope of proactive of RN.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
· College degree required; Graduate of accredited R.N program.
· Licensing and CME requirements met yearly as per professional organization and license.
· 5 years of experience; in a medical office working as a clinical registered nurse.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primary:
· Provide direct follow-up patient care, as a representative of the physician, while treating the patient in a style and manner developed and directed by the supervising physician.
· Evaluation and management services and procedures delivered by the physician assistant/registered nurse under the direction of the physician must be within the scope of each practitioner's authorized practice as defined by state law.
· The registered nurse must deliver care in accordance with mutually agreed upon standardized procedures that are developed by the physician and physician assistant/registered nurse.
· The registered nurse will limit their involvement in the assessment and implementation of treatment as adjudged by the physician taking into consideration the complexity and acuity of the patient’s condition, the training, and experience.
Secondary:
· Confirm with the patient their clear understanding that a registered nurse is treating them, not a physician.
· Registered nurse shall review with the supervising physician all delegated patient services regularly, as well as mutually agreed upon guidelines for practice.
· Perform good faith exams in accordance with California State Law.
· Write, review, clarify, and execute policy and procedures as they relates to the RN job description.
Other Duties:
· Performs other duties and assumes various responsibilities as determined by the physician and administrator.
Job Description:
Assisting the surgeon in preoperative management and providing postoperative care
Performing cosmetic injections such as Botox, Dysport, Dermal Fillers (Juvederm, Voluma, Restylane products), cosmetic lasers such as facial resurfacing (CO2), laser hair removal, facial vein laser (Vbeam), sclerotherapy must have 1-2 years of experience.
