High School ELA Teacher 25-26

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate High School ELA Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will inspire students to succeed academically and foster a love for learning. This role involves creating engaging lesson plans, assessing student progress, and providing support tailored to individual learning needs along with becoming a team member to the various community building task forces. A strong commitment to literacy education and curriculum development is essential, along with the ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles.

Duties

• Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
• Facilitate classroom discussions that encourage critical thinking and creativity.
• Assess student performance through standardized testing and ongoing evaluations.
• Provide academic advising and support for students in their educational journeys.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and instructional design.
• Offer tutoring sessions to assist students in mastering challenging concepts.
• Adapt teaching strategies for students with special education needs.
• Engage in copy editing of educational materials to ensure clarity and adherence.
• Foster an inclusive classroom environment that promotes literacy education and creative writing.
• Engaging in school sponsored community and culture building events.

Experience

• A Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field is required; teaching certification preferred.
• Experience in high school teaching or tutoring is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and best practices in assessment.
• Proven ability in curriculum development and instructional design.
• Strong skills in academic advising, special education, literacy education, copy editing, and creative writing are advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a passion for fostering student engagement.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $47,600.00 - $60,000.00 per year
