FUNDRAISING MANAGER
Location: Imagine Schools - Texas
Start Date: July 1, 2024
Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 depending upon experience
Reports To: Central Administration Office (CAO)
FLSA Classification: Exempt
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Two to three years of experience working with non-profit organizations or other relevant experience
- Good knowledge of Microsoft applications
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills
- Strong data analysis, leadership, project management, and organizational skills
- Ability to work cooperatively and constructively with staff and families in a multi-cultural environment
Essential Functions:
This position will be responsible for updating and maintaining donor databases, coordinating fundraising campaigns, researching and maintaining relationships with donors and prospective donors, as well as other tasks essential to the smooth operation of the organization’s fundraising efforts. In addition, this position will interact frequently with board members, fundraising volunteers, program staff, donors, and other constituents. This position reports directly to the CAO.
Data
· Manage the Donor Database including:
o Gift entry and processing
o Keeping donor records updated related to donor cultivation and relationships, solicitation and stewardship
o Maintaining and updating prospect pipeline and running any database reports
o Ensuring that the donor database information is current and accurate
· Monitor all donor information
· Provide and present statistical analysis and reports to board and senior leadership
Gift and Special Events
- Coordinate and conduct meetings (in person, telephone) with donors, prospects, volunteers, and key constituents
- Coordinate special organization fundraising events and connect volunteer activities to these events
- Keep up-to-date on current fundraising programs, practices and procedures used in the nonprofit sector and inform leadership
- Identify and pursue new sources of corporate and foundation funding as appropriate
- Support the CAO in maintaining relationships with major donors, including meeting preparation and follow up communication
- Develop and implement all aspects of direct donor mailings and appeals
- Ensure timely acknowledgement of all gifts and donations
Grant Requests & Administration
- Identify and pursue new sources of corporate, individual, and foundation funding at the direction of staff and board leadership
- Assist with researching and writing grants
- Provide timely reporting and ensure compliance as required by grant award documentation
- Write and submit all grants under designated amount as approved by board & leadership team
Leadership
- Attend weekly leadership meetings
- Assist in the design and implementation of fundraising policy across all departments
- Support fundraising responsibilities of the board & leadership team, including attending relevant meetings with stakeholders
- Direct the creation and updating of collateral materials to support gift cultivation
- Monitor and report regularly on the progress of fundraising activities to the board & leadership team
- Support and partner with senior staff and board members on all major fundraising initiatives
