We are seeking an exceptional school leader for the role of Principal/School Leader throughout Ohio including Columbus.

- Education: Master’s in Teaching, Educational Leadership or Administration, and current Principal/Teacher Certification.
- Experience: 3-5 years of successful teaching and administrative experience.
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Strong analytical, leadership, project management, and organizational skills. Ability to work with individuals with varying degrees of expertise in varied departments/organizations. Knowledge of current instructional practices; knowledge of current state and federal rules and regulations; knowledge of assessment and disciplined methodology. Ability to work cooperatively and constructively with other staff, parents, vendors, and community members in a multicultural environment.
The successful candidate must possess the following:
- Understanding the stewardship challenges facing Charter schools.
- A clear vision of and dedication to the values and philosophy of Imagine Schools method.
- Strong business/financial management skills, and curricular insights.
- Strong communication skills to ensure the long-term sustainability of the school.
- Strong knowledge of curriculum, instruction, assessment, and data analysis as well as the Academic Excellence Framework.
- Strong shared values, both personally living them and teaching them to others.
- Focus on achieving comprehensive distinction in the following key areas of schooling: Academic Excellence, Governance & Leadership, and Operational.
- Willingness and ability to make instructional leadership a top priority.
- An emphasis on mission-driven, data-informed decision-making, and teacher supervision.
Essential Functions:
- Implement the school’s charter in collaboration with the school’s board of directors and the authorizing institution.
- Establish and communicate standards for student and professional performance.
- Continually assess school practices and procedures and adjust them to support the diverse learning needs of students.
- Assume responsibility for the health, safety, and welfare of the students, staff, and visitors.
- Infuse the school culture with Imagine Schools Non-Profit’s Six Measures of Excellence.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the Imagine Schools Non-Profit Six Measures of Excellence in the execution of duties.
- Model positive character virtues and habits. Assist students in developing positive morale and performance character attributes.
- Responsible for overseeing the financial management of the school, including the development of the annual budget, overseeing the management of accounts payable and accounts receivable, approving payroll, and provision of required financial reports to the board, district, and state. Also responsible for seeing that the annual financial audit is completed in a timely manner.
- Responsible for the hiring and supervision of school personnel.
- Collaborate and clearly communicate with parents/guardians, and other educators to assist the students.
- Regularly communicate with all members of the school community.
