Positional Overview
We are seeking a skilled Production Planner to join our team. This role is responsible for planning and scheduling work within the Materials Test & Measurements and Press Divisions. The ideal candidate will have experience with ERP systems, strong analytical skills, and the ability to coordinate cross-functional workflows to ensure optimal efficiency in production and inventory management.
Role & Responsibility
Tasks That Will Lead to Your Success
- Run daily ERP reports to firm shop orders and release jobs to shop, stockroom, and assembly.
- Plan, schedule, and release job orders for Machine Shop, MTM / Press Assembly, and Stockroom.
- Review daily work center schedules to ensure accuracy in planning and scheduling to meet customer delivery demands.
- Expedite orders and materials as required to prevent production delays.
- Ship customer orders when product is in stock and ensure inventory levels align with job order requirements.
- Participate in monthly cycle counting on parts to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Issue materials in the system for shop orders within the MTM / Press departments.
- Receive jobs and materials into ERP system from shop, stockroom, and assembly.
- Complete job orders after verifying that parts and materials were correctly issued.
- Complete special projects as needed.
