Position Summary
The Cybersecurity Engineer will provide identification and mitigation of security threats and vulnerabilities. The role involves developing strategic and tactical defenses, managing threat platforms, building and maintaining vulnerability management systems, and administering zero trust principles.
Essential Functions And Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a robust security technology strategy designed to address risks associated with cloud and datacenter environments in a zero-trust framework.
- Recommend, implement, configure and maintain technical security solutions designed to protect information assets both on-prem and cloud based.
- Manage current security threats and solutions to ensure public cloud and on-prem environments are properly secured, monitored, and documented.
- Participate in audits on enterprise systems, processes, and technologies to ensure security posture in alignment with industry best practices.
- Conduct regular internal security assessments, security controls checks, and vulnerability testing.
- Respond to security incidents and provide in-depth technical analysis.
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure comprehensive security measures are in place.
- Develop and implement security policies, protocols, and procedures.
- Stay up to date with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technology.
- Provide training, mentoring and guidance on cybersecurity best practices.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Minimum of eight years of experience as a Cybersecurity Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Proficient in security tools software and hardware, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, log collection and analysis tools, UEBA, vulnerability management systems, remediation methods and metrics.
- Expertise in cloud architecture and security controls.
- Experience managing identity management solutions, including SSO, MFA, SAML and SCIM.
- Knowledgeable in messaging and gateway security (SPF, DKIM, DMARC, TLS).
- Adept in threat and intelligence, incident response, and investigations.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, CISM, CISA)
- 10 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity roles.
- Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing zero trust security frameworks.
- Experience with SASE solutions such as Cisco, Zscaler, Netskope, and Palo Alto.
- Experience with SIEM tools such as Splunk, Rapid7, LogRhythm.
- Experience with Endpoint Protection such as Symantec, Norton, Arctic Wolf Cylance.
- Experience with DLP tools such as Forcepoint, Symantec, Digital Guardian.
- Expertise with compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, SOC 2, etc.).
- Experience with privilege access management solutions such as CyberArk or BeyondTrust.
- Experience with email security such as Proofpoint, Defender, or Mimecast.
- Experience with Incident Response and Forensics processes.
- Ability to make sound decisions and exercise good judgment.
- Expertise in security tools and technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, antivirus software, and SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) systems.
- Experience managing and optimizing SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) platforms to ensure secure internet access, private application connectivity, efficient device management, and enhanced user experience monitoring.
- Experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions like Okta OIE, Ping or Centrify.
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory, network protocols, Windows / macOS, Linux systems.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash for automation.
- Experience with SSL/TLS certificate management.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem solving and analytical skills, with the ability to assess complex security issues and develop effective solutions to mitigate security threats.
- Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build strong working relationships.
- Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail to ensure thoroughness in security assessments and incident responses.

Salary : $102,000 - $150,000
