Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and administration of accounting systems, tasks and reconciliations to ensure the integrity of the financial statements in accordance with US GAAP
- Participate in the monthly financial statement close process to ensure timely and accurate flow of financial information to business leaders
- Analyze and interpret accounting information, including preparation of monthly financial statement variance analysis
- Support the Accounting Manager during the annual external audit process
- Prepare journal entries and perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations
- Ensure accounting controls are in place and operating effectively for area of accounting
- Act as a liaison for the accounting function within the functional business departments and provide guidance on accounting impacts of business decisions
- Major focus in one of the following areas: Compensation, Inventory/COGS, or Sales/Use Tax.
- Other duties as assigned by the Controller.
Minimum Qualifications of Position
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, a related field, or equivalent
- 3 years of experience in accounting and/or finance, with experience in a manufacturing organization preferred
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and ability to interpret impact of accounting standards on business decisions
Preferred Qualifications of Position
- Background in manufacturing or cost accounting
- CPA or CMA designation
Knowledge and Skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, team skills and capacity to communicate within all levels of the organization
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Strong functional computer knowledge in utilizing Microsoft Office and ERP systems
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with firm deadlines

The national pay range for this role is $64,000- $94,000.00/ year. The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
