About Us: For nearly 70 years, Toefco Engineering LLC continues to stand behind our coating solutions. During that time we have engineered spray coating solutions for nearly any component you can think of; from tiny O rings to massive holding tanks we’ve done it all. Overview: As the People and Culture Generalist at Toefco Engineering LLC, you will play a key role in fostering a positive and inclusive work environment. This position involves a combination of HR and culture-building responsibilities to support the company's mission and goals.
Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is highly preferred
Responsibilities:
- Partner with department managers to support recruitment efforts, including job postings, interviewing, and candidate selection.
- Serve as a first point of contact for employee concerns, escalating to leadership as necessary.
- Serve as a resource for employees and managers on HR policies, conflict resolution, and performance improvement.
- Conduct onboarding programs to ensure new employees integrate effectively into the company culture.
- Assists with compliance-related activities including audits, reporting, and training.
- Assist and manage employee relations issues by conducting investigations and recommending solutions and escalating to leadership as appropriate.
- Manage and update employee records for assigned location, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Assist with implementing engagement initiatives such as employee surveys, recognition programs, and culture-building activities.
- Maintain and report on key HR metrics, such as turnover, headcount, eNPS, etc.
- Assists with performance management process, including annual reviews and development plans.
- Administer FMLA, ADA, and other leave programs
- Promote a safe work environment by supporting safety and compliance initiatives.
- Processes payroll for assigned locations
- Performs all other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred. Equivalent work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- 2 years of experience in an HR role, with a focus on employee relations, talent acquisition, or employee engagement.
- Prior experience working in an manufacturing environment preferred but not required.
- Professional certifications such as PHR or SHRM-CM are helpful but not required.
- Knowledge of federal and state labor laws and regulations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Demonstrated experience in full-cycle recruiting.
- Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information System) and MS Office Suite.
- Strong knowledge of benefits administration and compliance.
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Travel
Local and overnight travel may be required occasionally

Compensation
The wage range for this role reflects the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Toefco, it is not always typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $50,000-$65,000.
