We are seeking an experienced full time Property Manager in the Groton area for approximately 175 units. The Property Manager is responsible for the daily oversight of all property operations; directs the staff and vendors; performs responsible administrative work involving over-all planning, direction and coordination of the program and leasing of units and apartment turnover. The Property Manager executes policies for the operation, management and maintenance of the properties and implements the policies as set forth by the governing board and administers housing programs in conformance with requirements as set forth by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and Connecticut Housing and Finance Authority (CHFA). This is a salaried exempt position and the hours are based on the needs of the property but generally Monday - Friday 8:30am-5pm. Must be available on call to respond to after-hours emergency calls and dispatch assistance as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Minimum of 3 years property management experience
- Working knowledge of federal, state, and municipal laws, ordinances, rules, regulations, and resolutions pertaining to public housing authorities
- Knowledge of the principles, theory and methods of managing all Public Housing Programs including leasing apartments and maintaining waiting lists and annual recertifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in supervision including the ability to plan, organize, direct, coordinate, and evaluate the work of employees
- Experience in receiving bids and executing contracts for work by others, and monitoring work in progress for compliance with contractual provisions
- Must be extremely organized with excellent written and verbal skills, strong computer and office technology skills, as well as the ability to deal professionally, courteously and tactfully with residents, prospects, contractors and on-site staff.

Salary : $58,000 - $70,000
