JOB SUMMARY
As a member of the sales team, the Account Executive – Digital Solutions and Sales Engineer is responsible for executing sales strategy, initiating contact with existing and potential customers, and identifying customer needs in order to sell appropriate business solutions to meet those needs. This position will collaborate with clients who are looking to improve workflows and streamline business processes to help them build productive and secure environments for their organization. Specific job duties will involve prospecting for new business leads and both selling and team selling the uncovered opportunities. Business solutions include products such as scanning services, records management strategies, digital mailroom, and other business process improvement services.
In addition this role is responsible for supporting the sales process for the Imaging sales team for customers who require business software solutions. Activities of this portion of the position include: building relationships with potential customers, current customers and sales partners, deliver presentations and demonstrations to articulate features and differentiators of all Applications software products, understand a prospect’s needs and architect solutions for them, write proposals and strategize with Imaging Sales Representatives to drive sales, configure demo solutions at customer locations.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Grows the account base in the assigned territory, as well as manages and maintains existing accounts
- Conducts discovery calls and qualify prospects with Imaging Sales Representatives
- Reports to Director of Solution Sales with all progress, including progress of completing sales targets
- Engages prospects through cold calling, in person meetings, and community business networking as well as strategizes with Imaging Sales Representatives to drive the sales of our Hardware Applications offerings
- Builds and fosters meaningful customer relationships
- Uses initiatives to source new clients, including following leads, building a referral network, visiting potential clients and giving sales presentations
- Identifies and learns appropriate software and hardware used and supported by the organization
- Attends conferences and functions to promote EO Johnson Business Technologies and prepares and delivers presentations
- Utilize CRM (Customer Relationship Management) to plan meetings, appointments, weekly schedules, and to update and maintain customer contact information (i.e. addresses, email addresses, meeting notes, etc.)
- Utilizes Outlook calendaring to plan the work week
- Meets or exceeds assigned monthly, quarterly, and annual quotas/goals
- Performs other duties as assigned
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Associate’s degree in sales, marketing or business administration or equivalent
- 2 years of sales experience, lead generation, or equivalent
- At least 2 years experience in a pre-sales, technical support, or IT consulting role working with enterprise software solutions
PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- 2 years of business to business consultative sales experience selling business technology products and services
- Certifications: CompTIA Network , A and Security
ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS
- Successful experience communicating with IT executives, other line of business owners, and technical staff
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products and any other standard software related to sales and marketing
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills; professional presentation skills; self-starter, cooperative attitude; team player
- Strong interpersonal skills, positive attitude, and high energy level
- Self-starter with motivation to constantly improve and meet short and long term goals
- Effective time management and organizational skills

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
- This position requires driving regionally regularly with occasional overnights
- Maintains a good driving record
- Must have a valid driver’s license
