What are the responsibilities and job description for the PRN Sonographer (Palmer) position at Imaging Associates AK?
This position performs all the essential functions of the Registered Sonographer. Must have training and practical experience in the following areas: Abdomen, OB/GYN, Vascular, Intracavity exams, Segmental Pressure Studies, small parts, Peripheral Vascular Bypass grafts and a variety of invasive studies requiring ultrasound guidance. Performs and evaluates sonographic examinations and physiologic vascular testing. Obtains clinical history and performs a physical assessment of the patient’s condition to determine appropriate testing protocol. Provides a technical interpretation of sonographic and physiological data to aid physicians in rendering a medical diagnosis.

Imaging Associates is seeking a PRN Ultrasound Technologist for our Anchorage, Eagle River, and Palmer, Alaska locations.
At Imaging Associates you’ll find a team of friendly and experienced sonographers leveraging the latest GE ultrasound technology for unsurpassed diagnostic accuracy. Both of our locations are ACR-accredited Breast Imaging Centers of Excellence! Studies performed at Imaging Associates include General, OB/GYN, Small Parts, and Breast. We are also a comprehensive vascular lab. Work closely with our breast imaging team who leverage 3D mammography (Breast Tomography), breast MRI, ultrasound, and breast biopsy.
