As an Ophthalmic Technician, you will play a crucial role in conducting a range of diagnostic tests and assisting our esteemed ophthalmologists. Your expertise will help guarantee that our patients receive the exceptional care and individualized attention they deserve.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform an array of diagnostic examinations
- Provide assistance to ophthalmologists during patient examinations
- Ensure patients receive personalized and compassionate care
- Proficiency in manual refracting
- Experience with diagnostic instruments such as:
- Pachymetry
- Visual fields
- Goldmann tonometry
- Biomicroscopy
- Optos/fundus photography
- Strong scribing abilities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Certification as an Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) or Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) is preferred
- Previous experience within an ophthalmology setting is advantageous
