Biobank Sales Representative
The Institute for Myeloma and Bone Cancer Research (IMBCR) is one of the world’s largest biorepositories specializing in the collection of myeloma samples. We partner with researchers, academic institutions, and pharmaceutical companies to support groundbreaking scientific discoveries and innovations.
As a dynamic and purposeful Biobank Sample Sales Representative, you will promote and sell our more than 50,000 biobank samples, including blood and bone marrow specimens, to a diverse range of clients, including pharmaceutical companies, research institutions, and healthcare organizations. Some understanding of the biomedical industry is a plus, in addition to scientific knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in sales.
Your responsibilities as the Biobank Sales Representative will include:
- Identify and engage potential clients through research, networking, and outreach efforts.
- Present and demonstrate the value of our biobank samples to prospective clients.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and new clients.
- Understand client needs and provide tailored solutions using our biobank samples.
- Negotiate contracts and close sales deals to meet or exceed targets.
- Provide exceptional customer service and support to clients throughout the sales process.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.
- Collaborate with the marketing and product development teams to enhance sales strategies and product offerings.
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and reports.
- Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to promote our biobank services.
- Utilize scientific knowledge to effectively communicate the benefits and applications of our biobank samples to clients.
- Stay current with industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes.
- Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to the management team.
Who Are You?
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in the biobanking, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical industries.
- Sold understanding of biobanking processes and the importance of biological samples in research.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and people skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to travel to meet with clients and attend industry events.
- Ability to understand and explain complex biological concepts.
