We are seeking an experienced MDS Coordinator to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical documentation improvement and discharge planning, with a focus on ensuring accurate and timely completion of MDS assessments.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the completion of MDS assessments in compliance with regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure accurate and comprehensive resident assessments
- Utilize clinical expertise to support accurate coding and documentation practices
- Conduct utilization reviews to optimize patient care and resource utilization
- Provide guidance on HEDIS measures and quality improvement initiatives
- Assist with discharge planning and hospice care coordination
- Support primary care providers with accurate DRG assignment
- Participate in OR utilization management as needed
Experience
- Strong knowledge of MDS assessment process and regulations
- Experience in clinical documentation improvement and coding
- Familiarity with discharge planning and utilization review processes
- Knowledge of hospice care coordination and primary care support
- Understanding of DRG assignment principles
For FT status, $7,000 sign on bonus paid out bi-monthly over 2 years.
