Technology services are a requirement for every SMB, with industry growth projections north of 15%.

Pay: $55-$65k base salary plus commission and bonus

Commission: Projected first year commission of $20-$30k Recurring revenue commissions paid through life of contract AND renewal.

About the Role

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying SMB new business opportunities, following up on leads, and growing our existing customer base. This role requires an entrepreneurial mindset, strong networking skills, and the ability to develop and close new business opportunities

Key Responsibilities

· Prospect & Develop New Business – Identify potential clients, generate leads through networking, outreach, and industry events, with a focus on small to mid-size businesses.

· Lead Management & Follow-Up – Engage with inbound and outbound leads, qualify opportunities, and drive the sales process.

· Client Relationship Management – Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships with a confident and consultative approach.

· Sales Strategy & Execution – Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to expand our customer base and market presence.

· Networking & Community Engagement – Represent IMC at industry networking events, conferences, and professional associations.

· Collaboration with Internal Teams – Work closely with technical to align solutions with customer needs.

· Sales Reporting & CRM Management – Maintain accurate sales data in the CRM system to track performance and opportunities.

What We’re Looking For

· Experience: Minimum 2 years in business development, sales, or account management, preferably in IT, networking, or telecommunications.

· Positive & Confident Mindset: A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and embraces challenges with enthusiasm.

· Entrepreneurship Mindset with Ambitious & Driven: A go-getter with a passion for sales, growth, and career advancement.

· Excellent Communication Skills: A well-spoken and engaging professional who can connect with clients and build trust.

· Active Listener: Ability to truly understand client needs and provide tailored solutions.

· Networking & Outreach: Experience attending business networking events or industry trade shows.

· Technology Knowledge (Preferred): Familiarity with IT, network infrastructure, or cybersecurity solutions is a plus.

· Growth-Oriented: Desire and ability to grow into a management role.

· Experience with CRM tools (ConnectWise is a plus).
