Senior Client Experience Manager | IMC Experiences

JOB SUMMARY

The Technical Director / Producer will be responsible for providing a senior level of consultation and delivery for the Multimedia Technical Services that are aligned to the execution of events within one of IMC’s global financial clients’ auditoriums and event spaces. Based in the Multimedia department in Purchase, NY , they will be responsible for coordinating the technology delivery, event workforce planning and ultimately for the successful execution of the live event. They will work in true partnership with our client’s Business units, Marketing and Event Production teams to ensure the overall event goals and objectives are delivered to the most exacting standard and are repeatable, sustainable and to match or exceed the service the industry would expect from an externally produced event.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (BUT NOT LIMITED TO)

  • This person will know everything about our client’s spaces technically and what they are capable of.
  • Work directly with Corporate Services, Stakeholders, Events Marketing and Event Producers to develop an overall technical production approach for each event.
  • Initial consulting at the beginning of every project to help identify what spaces are most appropriate for the event requirements.
  • Be present for venue / space walkthroughs with the planning team and follow SOP to produce working documents that are maintained and distributed throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Produce accurate and detailed operations briefing documents. If additional equipment or services are needed the coordination of the technology will be managed and documented.
  • Be the day-to-day contact for the stakeholders and provide proactive communications that will include scheduling and budget updates.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to produce rehearsal and production schedules and all other required documentation. If the event has a run of show the candidate will be very familiar with the document and have mapped resources against requirements.
  • Work closely with Video Production, Streaming, Engineering and Operations to ensure Technical coordination is completed for every project.
  • Procure external technical / staffing services using firm approved sourcing methods (as required).
  • Manage setup, technical checks, testing, cue-to-cue rehearsals and presenters’ rehearsals with the operators, presenters and moderators to ensure the event technology and the client requirements are in alignment.
  • On the event days the technical producer will be required to be on comms with the operations team and the producer / planner to ensure the technical operation of the event meets the required standard. For example the technical producer would make the final call on the framing of camera shots, the timing of switching and how content transitions are executed, that the room audio meets the required volume and quality.
  • Where cues have been requested, the TD will have planned these in advance and will call for them during the event.
  • The Technical Producer will be the first line in communications for any technical issues that may arise during the event so the technicians are not distracted. They will be accountable to the Stakeholders and make the final decision on resolutions and coordinate any backup plans.
  • Use experience and flexibility to anticipate and prepare for real-time changes at an event.
  • Lead and supervise the operations team throughout the entire event delivery phase ensuring work meets expectation and is on schedule.
  • Keep BU, Marketing and Producers informed of any issues, delays and solutions to the inevitable production changes that occur at live events.
  • Post Event – they will debrief with the team, compile notes and reports. Identify improvements and possible training options if required.
