Job Summary:
Wages: $36.00 hr. / $150 per day worked. Scheduled 5-10's.
Qualifications:
- 3 years’ experience
- Able to pass a Drug Test
- OSHA 10 or 30
- Rigging preferred.
Responsibilities:
- All facets of reinforcing iron work
- Position and secure rebar, rods, cables, or mesh in concrete forms, using fasteners, rod-bending machines, or hand tools.
- Setting up, flagging, and inspecting a crane
- Inspecting rigging properly
- Counting bars and bundles of rebar, dobies, and wire mesh
- Directing forklift/crane to unload delivery truck.
- Shaking out rebar and distributing/organizing accordingly
- Using pliers to tie rebar intersections with tie wire.
- Splicing mats or rebar sections together with short rebar dowels
- Cutting excess rebar ends and miscellaneous pieces with gas cut saw or cutting torch.
- Installing mechanical rebar splices by bolting or welding ends together
- Installing caps on vertical rebar dowels for safety
- Installing rebar dowels into fresh concrete footings
- Determining number, size, shape, and location of reinforcing rods from blueprints, sketches, or oral instructions
- Bending steel rods with hand tools or rod bending machine
- Reinforcing concrete with wire mesh

Expected hours: 50 – 60 per week
