We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Operations Manager to join our team in New Jersey. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing laboratory processing equipment, raw materials, and facility according to current health and safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
The Laboratory Operations Manager will be responsible for:
- Managing laboratory processing equipment, raw materials, and facility according to current health and safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Developing innovative formulations to support market/customer needs.
- Collaborating with suppliers on formulation projects to support sales and marketing activities as well as spotlight ingredient advantages.
- Coordinating and collaborating with IMCD global laboratory network to support global formulation strategies.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- Bachelor's degree in pharmaceutical, chemical, biological, biochemical, or related science.
- Minimum five years of experience in oral solid dosage forms in immediate and controlled release (blending, tablet compaction, pan coating, fluid bed, homogenizers, mixers).
- Additional experience with topical or liquid formulation development is beneficial.
- Understanding formulation processes including ingredient selection, application, and characterization (powder flow, powder and liquid rheology, bulk/tapped density, particle size determination, etc.).
- Experience with tableting & granulation equipment, blenders, stand mixers, HME, homogenizers, coating equipment.
- Experience with analytical equipment such as UV/Vis spectrophotometer and HPLC.
