About the Position:
IMCO General Construction is seeking a Safety Coordinator to work exclusively on our Oxbow Spillway Enhancement project in Oxbow, OR. This position reports to the Area Safety Manager.
- This position is accountable for assisting in implementing and overseeing the safety policies and procedures of IMCO General Construction and its subsidiaries.
- Act as subject matter expert for interpretation and compliance planning for current and emerging safety regulatory requirements at all levels, including client-specific requirements, State, Federal, and local legislation and regulations.
- The primary responsibilities for this position include jobsite coordination of safety and health policies and procedures, interacting with jobsite personnel regarding safety issues, and assisting project personnel with identifying and eliminating hazards and incidents.

Typical duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Assist in the identification, analysis, and development of controls to eliminate or minimize occupational hazards that exist on the work location.
- Provide site orientations for all project employees, including subcontractors.
- Participate in and lead risk assessments using a variety of qualitative and quantitative methodologies.
- Participate and support near miss and incident reporting, investigation, development of corrective actions, and closure.
- Participate in or conduct root cause analyses.
- Support and provide HSE training to ensure training content is reviewed and updated as necessary.
- Lead implementation of safety-related document control program into company-required databases.
- Participate in corporate safety team meetings and support the continuous improvement process.
- Support return-to-work program for injured employees as directed by the Claims and Risk Manager.
Schedule and Travel Requirements:
- This is a full-time, temporary position with the possibility of transitioning to a regular position upon project completion.
- The is an on-site position at our project location in Oxbow, OR. This is a remote work location with limited cell phone coverage or WiFi connectivity outside that provided by the project.
- The project is estimated to run through April, 2026.
- The project schedule will vary depending on phase, requiring some work on nights and weekends.
