Title: Contracts Advisor
Location: Hybrid (600 Chesterfield, Malvern, PA 19355)
Position Type: Contract (3–6 months, potential for extension/conversion)
Job Summary
We are seeking a Contracts Advisor to serve as the primary negotiator for procurement contracts, ensuring alignment with legal, commercial, and risk standards. This role involves drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts with third-party suppliers, collaborating closely with the Office of General Counsel and stakeholders to mitigate risks and drive efficient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate procurement contracts (e.g., IT, SaaS, consulting) from a commercial perspective.
Risk Mitigation: Identify and escalate risks (e.g., information security, financial exposure) to stakeholders such as InfoSec, Privacy, and Insurance teams.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Translate complex legal terms into plain language for business units and build relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
Process Adherence: Follow documented contracting procedures, ensuring timely execution and compliance with quality controls.
Performance Metrics: Deliver high-quality contracts efficiently, balancing velocity with attention to detail.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- 3–5 years of experience in commercial contracting, including direct negotiation and drafting of legal terms.
- Proven ability to lead negotiations, flag risks, and communicate contractual obligations clearly.
- Technical understanding of contract terms (e.g., indemnification, liability, IP).
- Excellent analytical, drafting, and client-service skills.
Preferred:
- Legal degree (JD) or paralegal certification.
- Experience in IT procurement or financial services.
- Familiarity with procurement processes and supplier management.
