About the Job:
- We are seeking a skilled Production Engineer to develop process plans for production lines within the powertrain department.
- The ideal candidate will provide direct support to other engineers or technicians through mentorship and lead the cost planning, budget creation, machine specification, procurement, validation, installation, pre-production trials, and launch of production lines.
Main Responsibilities:
- Developing process plans for production lines with direct support from the Manager.
- Spearheading the cost planning, budget creation, machine specification, procurement, validation, installation, pre-production trials, and launch of production lines.
- Collaborating with cross-functional working groups across the local facility and corporate departments to achieve project goals.
- Mentoring junior engineers and technicians to ensure knowledge transfer and growth within the department.
- Leading the construction and equipment installations for new production lines.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field, or 5 years of automotive engineering experience.
- Experience in production preparation of manufacturing and execution of capital projects, preferably from initial planning to start of production.
- Experience creating and implementing assembly processes in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to create and utilize detailed schedules and budgets for assigned areas.
- AutoCad experience, including reading, interpreting, and modifying 2D drawings.
- Willingness to support weekends, off-shifts, and holidays as needed.
- Ability to travel up to 50% for business purposes, both domestically and internationally.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Production Engineering experience in Assembly, Machining, Paint, Welding, Stamping.
- PLC experience, including troubleshooting and investigation skills.
- Experience and/or exposure to powertrain manufacturing processes.
- Equipment installation and validation expertise.
