IMEG is growing, and we'd love to have you join our team! We are currently seeking a Controls Engineering Graduate - Designer 1 in our Ann Arbor, MI office. As a Controls Engineering Graduate - Designer 1, you will be responsible for p erforming calculations, designs, drawing development, equipment and component selection, and programming for industrial control systems.

Principal Responsibilities

• Design, drafting and programming of electrical, control and instrumentation systems for multiple industries including, but not limited to, Water and Wastewater, Chemical and Pharmaceutical.
• Assist with the development of technical construction drawings including Power Distribution, Lighting, Motor Control, PLC / PAC control schematics, Network Communication, Grounding Systems, Instrumentation Plans, Conduit and Cable Schedules, Control Panel Layouts and Bill of Materials.
• Assist with calculations and analysis to ensure that designs conform to local codes and standards.
• Review of vendor documentation and client specifications to develop drawings and ensure that all design requirements have been met.
• Assist with the creation of PLC and HMI programs and provide remote and on-site de-bugging and modifications of existing client programs.
• Assist with coordinating design and schedule with other disciplines such as architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, technology, clerical and equipment suppliers.
• Assist with documenting design decisions, meetings, and instructions from client promptly while monitoring project design progress.
• Assist with review of all project documents for accuracy and completeness prior to requesting a final check.
• Conduct periodic job site installation supervision and commissioning activities including hands-on troubleshooting of electrical and controls systems.
• Other duties assigned by the employer.
