IMEG is growing, and we'd love to have you join our team! We are currently seeking a Technology Design Technician in our S aint Louis, MO office. The Technology Design Technician will work closely with a team of experienced engineers and consultants to provide mechanical design solutions and advice to clients to ensure positive outcomes. Primary responsibilities will include assisting in engineering analysis, design, and implementation oversight of low-voltage technology (ICT) systems in buildings. This position will be expected to work within the project's monetary budget as well as collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and client expectations.

Core Responsibilities :

Assist in the design and analysis of IT structured cabling, audio / video, security, and other low-voltage building systems, utilizing engineering software and tools to create detailed designs, specifications, and calculations according to code requirements and IMEG standards

Assist with documenting design decisions and instructions from clients while monitoring project design progress

Analyze lower complexity design tasks and propose innovative solutions. Collaborate with senior engineers and consultants to develop practical and efficient solutions

Participate in IMEG quality control processes to ensure that engineering designs meet IMEG quality standards, industry standards and client requirements

Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in lowvoltage technology (ICT) engineering. Contribute to research, development, and innovation efforts within IMEG

Prioritize safety in all aspects of engineering work. Identify and mitigate potential safety risks associated with low-voltage technology ICT systems

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including other engineers, architects, and project managers, to deliver integrated solutions that meet project goals

Other duties as assigned

Required Skills / Abilities :

Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and concepts involved in the production of technical plans and specifications

Knowledge of industry standard engineering software and tools

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges

Knowledge in the use of BIM software

Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups

Proficient in Microsoft and MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook

Education and Experience :

Associates degree, or certificate, in Building Information Modeling (BIM), or Engineering preferred

No experience required

Physical Requirements :

Regularly required to sit, walk, stand, talk, see, hear, and lift objects up to 25 pounds

Occasionally required to drive, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, reach with hands or arms, and grasp or pull

Will have limited exposure to outside weather conditions and loud noises
