Job Description
As a Mine Planning Specialist at Imerys, you will play a key role in the development of effective short to mid-term mining sequencing to optimize operations and the mine's lifespan. You will work closely with the Mine Manager, Operations Manager, and Division Mining and Geology group to achieve this goal.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mining engineering or geology, as well as experience in supporting a mining operation. They will be able to analyze data, develop plans, and oversee the implementation of those plans. The successful candidate will also possess excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing mine plans to optimize operations and extend the life of the mine.
- Collaborating with Mine Management and Division support personnel to extract minerals safely and efficiently.
- Preparing and sending regular reports on the state of the mining operation.
- Laying out and directing mine operations, including excavation benches and access roads.
