Job Summary
Job Summary: Packages finished product, distributes and loads products.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Read production schedule, shipping orders or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
- Convey material from receiving or production areas to storage or other areas.
- Sort and place material in rows according to size, type, style, color or code.
- Fill shipping schedule or requests for material or other stock items and distribute items to production station or loading dock.
- Mark materials with identifying information.
- Open bales, crates, and other containers.
- Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
- Weigh or count items for distribution within the plant.
- Use computer to enter records.
- Compile pick list from shipping schedule.
- Drive vehicle to transport stored items from warehouse to production station, or to pick up items from several locations for shipment.
- Package finished product in paper, plastic, or super sacks per production schedule.
- Fills bulk cars from production or warehouse inventory.
- Form, staple, fill and glue shipping cartons.
- Operate bag press, bulk car winch, and super sack packer.
- Perform limited inspection of bulk car, box car and containers before loading.
Hourly Rate: $26.45

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Hearing protection is provided and required in certain areas.
